Best Places to Work awards

It's time for In Business Las Vegas' Ninth Annual Best Places to Work awards program.

Best Places to Work is a contest researched by Quantum Workplace and published by In Business Las Vegas. Participating companies will administer an online employee engagement survey to determine the honorees. The results are based solely on the opinions of the judges who matter most: employees.

There is no cost to participate. Participating companies receive a free overview report of their results. Firms can then purchase advanced reporting to compare their scores to benchmarks of similar-sized companies in the Las Vegas area and to industry competitors nationwide.

The top performers will be recognized in a special issue of In Business Las Vegas in October 2010.

Nominate your company BEFORE August 6. Find out more about the program and sign up your company here.

Diversity in Action awards

In Business Las Vegas will again honor local businesspeople with its Diversity in Action awards. The honorees will be people who have made contributions in support of diversity, which includes nationality, physical/mental disabilities, sexual orientation, and age or gender equality, in the Southern Nevada business community. Some of these people will have overcome adversities and obstacles to advance diversity. Others will have championed the cause. The honorees will be profiled in a special publication Sept. 24. Click here for a nomination form. Deadline for submissions is Thursday, Aug. 19. Click here to download the nomination form.
